In the heart of the vineyards of the Aix en Provence region, the forests and valleys of Chateau Bas mixed with the diversity of climates and terroirs makes it ideal for wine growing.
Chateau Bas vineyards are spread over 70 hectares and are composed of two main regions. The region around the Chateau is “deep” and very rich. Most of the grape varieties that make up the Alvernègue cuvee come from this area.
The Badasset region is separated from Chateau Bas by a cliff. This small valley has a true micro-climate due to its geology. This region of the vineyard is much drier and is the ideal soil for the wines of Pierre du Sud and the Temple.
